Couldn't agree more. My spare is an '06 Morewood Shova, but I also have an '05 RockLobster Team TIG S.L. frame sitting crying out for a lightweight XC build, but too many trips to the Alps are getting in the financial way.

Have dipped into your website tonight - great T shirts, if I think of any more slogans I will let you know. I think I will have to get the Velovangelist because that is def what I am!!! I also love the Pac Bike idea!

Have just started to read you JOGLE but will have to come back to it. My LEJOG was 22 years ago (I am same age as you), and if you are lucky I may share my poem I wrote at the end!

Inspiring. That's all I can say. My little boy is 17 months now and has had a troublefree life up to now. Can only imagine what you and your family went through. Came across your site as I am planning to do a Jogle in 2013 to mark my 40th birthday. Just got a new bike 3 weeks ago after 18 years out of the saddle. I'm like a kid with anew toy. Your story has really inspired me. Many many congrats on the achievement. Seeing little Edith with her brother and sister must make you and your wife very proud.

Great read. I love the mentions of Percy Pigs. I did London to Paris at the begining of July and was also introduced to Percy Pigs, great for getting over the rolling hills of northern France.

I am still laughing at the line "...a herd of Percy Pigs had melted to death ....", hahaha.

Hi mate

Wow. After reading this I'm flabbergasted! Drained and left wondering why I worry about the things I do. However, it seems Edith is a fighter and with that attitude I'm sure she'll be teenage trouble in the way teenagers are!!

As it turns out, we do a lot for SANDS. Stillborn And Neonatal Death Society. Helen does the newletter plus helping with the yearly services. I help where I can with open houses and helping people with getting through their grief. Our involvement started with Elizabeth who died one week before she was due to be born - stillborn. Even now, no one knows why. Having to go through it was to say at the least difficult and traumatic and we still, and never expect, to fully get over it.

But, I hear many, many devastating stories that either involve the errors or problems with the emergency services or simply that children are fragile and don't always make it.

Your story, a terrible ordeal for you and your whole family, has an ending that makes you realise there is always hope and to never give up.

Anyway, well done on the achievement - you must be as sore as hell!

I think we have a photograph of Jessica (now aged 25) rather like you Edi at 1 year. We were on holiday in the south of France and, waiting for the flight, the people in the apartment next door let us use their patio. Jeskie crapped on it, which was a bit embarrassing.... Anyway, it makes you realise how lucky you've been not to have the torment you have had. Frankly, I would prefer it if you were doing these designs on "proper" cycling shirts, but it's my birthday soon, so I will point the children this way. Despite Jessica currently challenging our finances (vet school, full fees - you have been warned), I'll see what I can do on the giving front. Good luck with the ride
- I understand the cream you can put in your shorts is quite good. Probably best not to use the wife's training regime....
