GPS and B&Bs

The good news is that I think I’ve sussed the GPS. I’ve had a Garmin Legend HCX for nearly a year and I’ve only just got to grips with it. Using www.bikehike.com to plot the course I’ve managed not to end up in Spain, twice.

I’ve started booking up the B&Bs and so far it’s been painless. They all answer their email enquiries and most deposits are taken by PayPal.

The training is going fine. No more knee pain, and quite a few miles in with no problems.
This from Mel:
“Went out yesterday, did just over 50 miles fuelled by one cereal bar, 2
pints of Wickwar Coopers, a whole packet of oak biscuits from a garage and a
packet of jelly babies from the same garage.
Went to Coaley/Stroud/Sheepscombe/Bulls Cross/Fostons Ash/ Birdlip/
Cowley/Upper Coberley/Withington/ Colesbourne and back almost the same way.

Tired today, we will never do it, give up now!”
And I think we’re close to £1000 in sponsorship. Marvellous.
