Just to make sure it’s all working…

I don’t think many people appreciate where they live. I have lived in this area all my life, but, well. Um, lovely.

Don’t laugh – infinitely preferable to the neighbouring area – Spuncombe Bottom. I kid you not.

Fridays are spent sorting out the newsletter that you should hopefully get around lunchtime so you can then chuckle at my usual misfortune and then spend all your wages.

The main misfortune today was spelling the name of my company as a three year old would, then sending it out to thousands, no, make that millions, probably trillions, of people. I am one of those people that tuts a lot and shakes his head when he see careless spelling, so I was mightily cheesed.

The other issue, which happens every week, is that I think of something else to put in the newsletter the second after I press the send button. Every bloody week. This week’s was a corker too.

Trying a new mount for the video camera tomorrow – after numerous botched attempts. OK, hundreds of botched attempts.

No pics tonight – a bit, um, dark. Had a cracking night ride, only marred by an injury half way through – can’t imagine the sympathy vote will be forthcoming on Valentine’s night…..

A demain

A fairly novel experience for me.

I’ve spent most of my adult life within sight of Wales (just a little river between us), and it’s usually got a big grey duvet hanging over the top of it. However, yesterday was not a duvet day.

OK, wrong bike choice. I thought, in my wisdom, that I’d be awesome on my single speed Orange.

How wrong I was. 32:16 is too high a gear for CwmCarn and my thighs. And then my carbon seatpost snapped after 10 minutes which meant I spent the next two hours looking like one of those 14yr olds on trials bikes.

Apart from that – sun and snow. Gorgeous.

Had a rough few days in the office having lost a big contract. Anyhow, off to CwmCarn tomorrow which should clear my head a bit.

Al
